Alberta Detection Dogs Ltd. is owned and operated by Odd GUNDERSEN.  Odd, now retired from the Edmonton Police Service after 25 years service, has worked detection dogs for nineteen years and assisted in the training of detection and general service dogs for twenty three and a half years with the Edmonton Police Service.  Odd is certified as an expert dog handler both in Canada and in the United States and is qualified as an expert in both Provincial and Queens Bench Court.  Alberta Detection Dogs Ltd. was started in 1992 with a Narcotics Detection Dog then in 1994 expanded to an Accelerant/Explosives Detection Dog.  In  2002 Alberta Detection Dogs Ltd. expanded with a Tobacco Detection Dog. All dogs are certified and re-certifiation is done on a yearly basis.

Jodi is the newest member of Odd's team she is a 2 year old black lab female. She was just certified in May 2007, Chief was re-certified at the same time.
