Barry graduated from the Vancouver School of Art with a four year diploma in

design, commercial art and drawing. He has received many art awards including a typography award and the meritorious service award.

Barry began his fire career with the Surrey Fire Department. He utilizes the

combined technology of digital cameras and AutoCAD drawings to document

fire/explosion scenes.

He has investigated over 1,000 major fires in British Columbia, NWT,

Nunavut, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Washington State.

Barry also combines his excellent free hand drawing skill to re-create with 

witnesses what they first saw at the fire/explosion scene.

Barry has developed and is called upon continually in the preparation of fire

scene re-creations for old fires. Barry’s system assists clients in the review and

easier understanding of large amounts of written information. It is a very 
effective resource tool for mediation and court.
